Just like some invidious virus, free ringtone ripoffs continue to spread. One recent victim is reader Viv McGregor, who says she’s been charged $350 by a company called Blinko. After clicking on “fun” while on the Internet, Viv realised it was a $10 a day service. “I immediately sent them an SMS to ’stop fun’, she writes. Despite several more SMSs and an unsuccessful attempt to call the company, she was dismayed to find she was being charged $10 a day from the date she made the first fateful click.
